Caribbean
Islands
With its stunning scenery, lush vegetation, great beaches and wide range of activities, Grenada is widely regarded as one of very finest of the Caribbean islands. The fragrance of the spice plantations adds a unique charm.
Good access by direct flights or via Antigua or Puerto Rico. The airport is conveniently situated for good access to the main resort areas.
Grenada has been badly hit by hurricanes on several occasions, but generally enjoys an excellent climate.
A good variety of mainly smaller to medium sized establishments, mostly in the south and south west.
Very good beaches, the best known being Grand Anse, a two mile long crescent of white sand which is among the best in the Caribbean.
A wide variety of very good dive sites cater for all levels of experience. The Bianca C is an exciting wreck dive, although its crumbling stucture makes penetration dives hazardous. Equally good for snorkelling.
