There are two main methods of growing sweet peas for cut flower production, namely the cordon system and the bush system.
The cordon sytem is labor intensive, and produces a relatively low yield of very high quality flowers. This system is used by specialist growers who can command a high price for a premium product.
The bush system gives very high yields of medium quality product over a short period of time. Successional sowings are required to maintain a continuity of supply over a reasonably long season.
