Spring : Sow either Winter Sunshine^™ or Spring Sunshine^™ sweet peas in the fall to give flower from early or late spring.
Summer : The natural flowering season for sweet peas. In areas with cool summers use Summer Sunshine^™; in areas with hot summers use Spring Sunshine^™.
Fall : The most challenging period, recommended for experienced growers only. One technique used in Holland is to use Winter Sunshine^™ sweet peas sown in May. It is also possible in areas with cool summers to use Summer Sunshine^™ varieties sown in late spring. Both these methods require the removal of flower buds during the summer to delay flowering and allow the plants to build up strength.
Winter : Only feasible where winter light levels are good. Plant Winter Sunshine^™ sweet peas in late summer or the fall. The other types of sweet pea are not suitable and will suffer severe bud drop if attempts are made to flower them at this time of year.
