Multi-layered growing in urban warehouses bringing production sites closer than ever to the areas of consumption may no longer be "pie in the sky". With these growing systems, the unbelievable is now possible. Graham Ward, CEO of STC Yorks: "A normal lettuce grower can grow five crops a year. With this system, we can grow fifteen."
Apart from these futuristic applications, LED lighting, with its unique spectral range combined with outstanding energy efficiency bring many other possible benefits to conventional growers in terms of yield and quality improvement.
