SHGC Winter Meeting

COLUMN STOCKS - DISEASE RESEARCH ROUNDUP

In a joint presentation, Martin McPherson and Lyndon Mason will review the HDC-funded trial work conducted in 2012 on Pythium and Fusarium control in Stocks.
Lyndon conducted trials on growers’ holdings looking at biological methods of control (Trichoderma and soil amelioration media).
Martin undertook a ‘pot trial’ at STC which concentrated mainly on chemical control of Fusarium and Pythium, including the use of new, experimental SDHI products.
The speakers will give an overall view of their observations of the commercial 2012 crop and will be open to suggestions for the course of future experimental work.
