Founded in Spalding in 1988, Fowler Welch has grown rapidly to become one of the largest operators in the temperature controlled fresh produce distribution sector. With this and other companies in the vicinity, Spalding has become possibly the most important logistics centre for fresh produce in the country.
Neil King and his team from Fowler Welch will show just how important Spalding is in the national scheme of things, by outlining the volume and variety of vehicle movements, and an appreciation of the complexity of logistics operations in the area.
The future of logistics operations in South Holland will be examined, with particular reference to the integration of road and rail as proposed in the plans for the local hub.
